A pair of 10 watt modules provides enough power to run and add some charge to the batteries of most notebook computers including nearly all Macintosh portables and about 60% of the multitude of PC portables. If you want to take your computer on safari or telecommute from a beach in the tropics, you can unfold the NotePower solar array, plug in the SmartAdapter and you will be charging your computer battery as long as the sun is shining. A 10 foot cord allows you to be in the shade while your solar module is in the sun. The folding module weighs less than 3 pounds and measures 16” x 11” x ½” when closed. The case expands to 1½” if you want to use it to carry and protect papers or books while you are traveling. The NotePower solar charger can charge other 12 volt powered devices with rechargeable batteries, too. A portable cellular phone with a DC charging cord can be plugged into the cigarette lighter output of the NotePower solar charger and recharged also.
